CELESTE TOOK HIM in her mouth again and squirmed, ready to have him inside of her. She leaned over and pulled a condom from her bedside table, gently rolling it down Egan’s shaft. He was so hard, and absolutely gorgeous to look at.

His hair was disheveled and his eyes were dark with desire. He held her hips as she lifted them and lowered herself down onto him. She gasped when she felt herself stretch to hold him, pausing to take in the sensation of having Egan inside of her. Celeste stared down into his eyes and felt her heart burst open as her insides clenched around him, claiming him. He reached up to pull her into a kiss, their mouths ravishing one another as she lifted and lowered again and again, riding him until she saw stars exploding in her clouded-over vision. She cried out his name when she felt his final thrust, so deep within her, where she was sure no man had ever laid claim. She fell across his chest and rested her cheek against his slick, bare skin. Egan’s arms circled her, holding her, as he kissed a bead of sweat from her forehead.

His hand laced into her hair, stroking it, bringing her a peace she’d never known in a man’s arms. His heart thumped beneath her ear, and for the first time, Celeste understood why some people felt complete when they were in love. She’d never needed that and was fiercely proud of her independence. But in that moment, lying in his arms, she felt as if her heart had finally found its way home, as it snuggled up, entwined with Egan’s rusty, broken one.
